The best part about a slow cooker is how it makes the meat simply fall apart in your mouth. Tender, juicy, and yummy. This specific meal is inspired from a recipe my wife found on Pinterest, Slow Cooker Honey-Garlic BBQ Pork Tenderloin. When cooking I like to add my own unique elements to the plate.

In this case I will share with you what I added and some pictures to reveal the end result. I’ve done this meal once before and needless to say it was magnificent I strongly recommend it. The first thing you want to do here is make sure you have all the ingredients to start. Like I said above I don’t typically follow their exact recipe so I will share what I do below.

We start by preparing our sauce, Put all of the ingredients into a sauce pan, turn the stove on med and start stirring to prevent sticking or burning. Continue stirring until the sauce bubbles and becomes thick. During this time prepare your meat and place it into the slow cooker.

2 pork tenderloins
1 cup of honey
¾ cup soy sauce
1/2 of cup ketchup
5 cloves garlic shredded
2 tablespoon mustard
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
3 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and fresh cracked pepper to desired taste preferences

I find the best thing to accompany this meal is oven baked asparagus and broccoli, with olive oil and salt. Cut up the vegetables to your desired length or size and place on to a cooking tray. Salt and cover in a drizzling of olive oil. Oven bake at 350 for at least 10 minutes depending on desired taste and preferences.

I like to serve this meal on a bed of cooked rice. You can use any rice you enjoy best it’s simply a preference, we use white or wholewheat. In this recipe we are using presidents choice instant whole grain brown rice. Serve the meal on top the rice, with the vegetables as the final topping. Serve with a splash of soy sauce as desired.
